He's All Three, All the Time

The Place of Grace (Day 5) // Prayer365

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This week we've been working through this theme titled "The Place of Grace." Monday, we declared that God is limitless and we are not! This is such a liberating truth and I believe it is the beginnings to living in the place of grace. When we come to the end of ourselves, knowing that we are limited and God is limitless. Tuesday, we highlighted the limitless love of God, Wednesday, the limitless power of God and yesterday, the limitless wisdom of God. Today, I want you to know, as we have highlighted God in all of His limitlessness by focusing on each of those three areas over the last three days, that He is all three all the time. God is not powerful without love, nor is He wise without power. We don't experience God in one characteristic without experiencing Him in others. God doesn't uncover our sins with His wisdom without love, he doesn't demonstrate his power without wisdom. There's never a moment where He's limitless in love and not limitless in power and wisdom. He's all three, all the time. Clearly seeing this helps us to better understand the place of grace.

Grace is the place where God’s limitless love, power, & wisdom gather together. In that place, the three converge to create the unbelievable space called grace. Let's take another look at John 3:16-17, I want to show you in scripture where we find these three areas of God's limitlessness in one place:

Love: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son..."
Power: "...that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Wisdom: "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

God looked at us and clearly saw our sins; He saw our imperfections and our limitations. And in all of His limitlessness, He made the conscious decision to give us grace. I want you to see today that grace is not just a place, but it's demonstrated in the person of Jesus. God gave His one and only son as complete payment for our sins. While fully capable, He did not choose to destroy us. Instead, He looked beyond our faults and saw our need. God gave us grace.

My desire is that you would fully embrace the limitlessness of God in your life. That you would not just know this word by concept but in the context of your life. My prayer is when you're faced a season of life where things are completely beyond your control, that you won't continue trying to put out fires, that you won't try to handle it in your own might, but that you would remember that "I am limited but God is limitless." It's at that moment that we enter through the gates of the place of grace, that we reside in His glorious peace. Whereas life may be chaotic and may not be perfect, but I won't lose my mind because God's grace is enough. I'm praying for you, that where you are in life today, you will receive God's limitlessness in your life. He is limitless in love, limitless in power and limitless in wisdom. He's all three, all the time.

I'm praying for you and with you,
Pastor Enrique Brooks
