The Glory Has Come
Focus Scripture
“Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.”
- Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV

Introduction
In this advent season, what we must know is that the Glory has come. Jesus is the promised Glory of God. He is the Light of the world and the Light of men that walked among men as Emmanuel (God with us). He was born of the virgin, Mary. He died on the cross for each of our sins and was resurrected by the power of the Father. He has ascended back to the Father in Heaven and we await His soon second coming. But until then, Jesus has sent us a greater manifestation of His presence (glory)—the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that empowers and conforms us to the image of Jesus (Acts 1:8 & Romans 8:29). It’s through this work that He—the Holy Spirit, brings glory to Jesus (John 16:14). Therefore, we no longer have to wait for the Glory, the Glory has already come! Instead we must appropriately posture ourselves to receive the Glory of God. This week in the theme titled, The Glory has Come, we will correct our posture to receive the Glory and experience the effect of the Glory being present in our lives.
