God Will Fulfill

Focus Scripture

"‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.” — Haggai 2:9 NKJV

"And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. Blessed is she who [a]believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” — Luke 1:41-45 NKJV

Introduction

God’s word is a promise that evokes visions into our minds that calls, draws and pushes us into action through the work of faith. So that not only will we see what God said in our heads but by perseverance, we can one day hold it in our hands. But so often when the word (or promise) of greater comes, our minds often reject both the idea and possibility. We base our success on our ability to ultimately deliver the item at hand. We asK ourselves questions like can I pull this off? Do I have the resources to start this effort? Do I have have the experience to support this business? And because you are only looking within and not without, fear, doubt and discouragement take over because of a deficit within oneself. This way of thinking will oppressively limit the effectiveness of one’s life because they make decisions outside of their identity and responsibility. The burden of provision, the pressure to perform and the will to fulfill are not yours to carry. They belong to God. There are no deficits in Him. And for Him, it (whatever it may be) is a light thing for Him to do. Therefore, the focus of our prayer this week is “God will fulfill.”
